Author Bio

Katie Williams was born and raised in the small town of Okemos, Michigan, though a town is only as small as its library, and Katie “visited” many other places through reading. Katie earned her BA in English at University of Michigan and her MFA in fiction at the Michener Center for Writers at University of Texas. Her two young adult novels, The Space Between Trees and Absent, were published by Chronicle Books, and her short fiction has been in AGNI, American Short Fiction, The Atlantic, and elsewhere. She teaches writing at Academy of Art University and lives with her husband, Ulysses, and her hound dog, Fia, in Eugene, OR.
